Maputo Dancing Dump
201052 minDocumentaryMozambique
At the Hulene dump on the edge of Maputo, Mozambique, where hundreds of families scavenge and live among the waste, a group of young people has formed a hip-hop dance crew. Blending observational documentary with animated interludes, the film shows how, even amid discarded things, they carve out joy, identity and a form of resistance through movement.
